Angelica was on dialysis for more than a decade and half years before receiving her kidney transplant. The mother of Angelica was the recipient. In September 2013, Angelica and her mom underwent a successful kidney transplantation surgery at two amazing hospitals located close to each other: the Memory University Hospital as well as Children's Hospital of Atlanta Egleston.
